Indeed. I believe I touched on that very point in my Perilous Times Blog. Matthew used a'nomia and Luke used adikia. A'nomia is simply "without Law/Torah" and adikia is "violation of Law/Torah or an order of the court". We both know Torah is actually better translated "Instruction" but all of Christendom calls it the Law and yet they cannot see this! My heart breaks for friends I fear will fit in this category and they refuse to listen. Many are loving and caring people in ministry. But they reject Torah... *sigh*

How is it Christ says only a remnant will remain? Even those who cast out demons and raise the dead? Lord , Lord, they said. I know you not said Yehoshua. Get away from me you workers of Lawlessness. Seems this should be considered, heavily.

I can only assume that mixing occurred. There is no biblical path to change the Sabbath. Yet both did and claimed it on their own authority. The barbarian / Marcion connection came from a secular series about the fall of Rome. It seems the more we know, the more we realize we don't know that much. Winners write history.

That is interesting. Oddly, if you look at the parallels between Marcionism and Constantine's version of Christianity, there are MANY parallels. By the 5th Century the title Christian, in most of both the Roman and Byzantine regions, was synonymous with being a Marcionite! I wonder if the invasions had any influence on the adoption of Marcionist theology by the early Vatican.
